Spiderman: Origin Spiderman: Origin
In his first appearance, Peter Parker is introduced as an orphaned science whiz kid teenager living with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City. He is a brilliant student, considered a bookworm by his peers. While viewing a demonstration at a science exhibit, a spider, not seen by anyone, becomes irradiated with radioactive rays, and bites Peter Parker on the hand! Peter gradually realizes that his entire body has changed He gains spider-like powers such as super-strength the ability to climb walls and a phenomenal jumping skill. Spiderman also gains a "warning-sense" which we later call "spider-sense". All the powers of a human size spider!
As Spider-Man, Peter becomes a successful TV star, a Showman, creating his very own costume &"web-shooters" to assist in his act. He finally named himself "Spiderman". One day at a studio he refuses to stop a thief running by, saying that it is the job of the police not that of a number one star.
Later Peter arrives home to find his beloved guardian, Uncle Ben, is murdered, and an angry Spider-Man sets off to capture the killer. When he does, he is horrified to find that the man is none other than the thief he refused to arrest. At that moment Peter realizes that "With Great Power there must also come Great Responsibility!" and the legend is born!
After his uncle's death, Peter and his Aunt May become desperate for money, so he gets a job as a photographer at the Daily Bugle selling photos to J. Jonah Jameson, who vilifies Spider-Man in the paper, and the adventures begin!
